Which insurances do you accept?
In addition to self-pay, I am currently in-network with Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Colorado, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna and Quest Behavioral Health insurances. For those who wish to pay through their insurance I work with a group called Headway to verify your insurance benefits and make sure that all billing goes smoothly. For any insurance company not listed above, I can help provide a superbill of services that you can then submit to your insurance to request reimbursement. See this resource for more information about superbills.
For self-pay clients, you can pay for appointments with American Express, Discover, Mastercard, Visa or a Health Savings Account.
How much do sessions cost for private/ self-pay?
For clients not paying through their insurance (i.e. private and self-pay) the intake session is $275 and individual sessions thereafter are $185. For more information about the differences in appointment types see Appointments.
Where are you licensed?
I am a licensed Psychologist in Colorado (#0006323). Due to licensure laws, I am only able to see clients who are physically within Colorado at the time of the appointment.
What do I need to know about Telehealth appointments?
While Telehealth (video conferencing or telephone) offers greater flexibility, it is important to consider some key logistics to enable a smooth and confidential experience.
Make sure you have the technology needed to have a Telehealth session, such as a phone, computer or tablet with video and audio capabilities and strong internet connection.
Find a space and choose a time when you can be free of outside distractions or interruptions. For example, while it may be tempting to have sessions while multitasking of driving, this not only detracts from the therapy process but is dangerous if the session interferes with your ability to safely drive. Instead, choosing a time and place in which you do not have other demands on your attention is critical to getting the most out of the therapy.
An important element of therapy is feeling able to discuss sensitive topics knowing that you are in a private and confidential space. For this reason, you will want to make sure that you can join Telehealth sessions in a private space in which you will not be overheard or interrupted.
